Congratulations to our coordinator Jessica Artz and her husband Jon as they welcomed their baby boy, Miles Ernest, born on November 8! The GCWA has been asked to play a role in an ongoing effort to address sedimentation problems in Lake Katharine and Little Lake Katharine. We are exploring the potential use of an iPhone application to allow volunteers to record photos and document various trouble spots within the watershed.Read more...

The event will include wine tasting of 10 different whites and 10 different reds, food, games for children, and nature hikes led by Yancey McLeod. Tickets are $25/person and $20 for neighbor members. The Gills Creek Watershed Association is introducing the Reel 'Em In Campaign to build our support network and get the word out about the Gills Creek Watershed. With the help of the Richland County Development Roundtable, Richland County Council has passed a revised stormwater ordinance.
