This event will be at Yancey McLeod's home on Cook's Mountain, in Eastover, SC. At almost 400 feet in elevation, Cook's Mountain is among the highest points in the Midlands. The mountain top education pavilion includes a spectacular view of the Wateree River and its massive floodplain. Trails on the property offer the experience of remarkably diverse plant communities and habitats.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance. $35 the day of the event. Children are free!
The event will include a wine tasting as well as heavy hors d'oeuvres, games for children, nature hikes led by Yancey McLeod, and educational information about the Gills Creek Watershed.
The Gills Creek Watershed Association thanks Yancey and Mary McLeod for their hospitality! We would also like to thank Morganelli's Liquors & Wines, Fresh Market, Kroger, and Piggly Wiggly for their generosity!
