C.A.R.E. For Gills Creek - Timberlane Drive Floodplain Restoration Project

This year GCWA launched an ambitious project to restore a critical piece of Gills Creek floodplain. Our vision is for this project to contribute to the health of Gills Creek and become a place for our community to learn about the incredible resources we have right in our own backyard.

This is an incredible step for our association and, with your help, we can renew this part of the watershed!

To make this vision a reality, we have set the goal of raising $15,000 to accomplish this work, and we invite you to be part of the effort.

Please donate to CARE for Gills Creek to help us reach this goal!

What does it mean to CARE for Gills Creek?

CONSERVE

Purchasing the property means it will never be developed.

                Other Projects

ADVOCATE

This property will show local governments, community members, and students how to manage fragile floodplains. This site will become a model for other floodplain properties to follow.

Other Projects

RESTORE

We will remove nonnative plants, install native plants, and allow the land to return to a natural state. At its core, this project is for Floodplain Restoration.

Other Projects

EDUCATE

This site will be an example of how flood-damaged properties can be restored and used as an anchor for outreach activities in our community.

Other Projects

Through our Timberlane Drive Restoration Project, GCWA will take Conserving, Advocating, Restoring, and Educating to a new level.
