Join us for a guided nature walk along a section of the Gills Creek floodplain. We'll check out our floodplain restoration work, and appreciate the birds and plants that thrive in this natural space. We'll have binoculars to share from our friends at Midlands Nature and Bird Alliance. The walk will be along a paved road, so accessibility is good.
It's time for us to do routine maintenance on our Rain Garden in Rosewood Park! We are participating with Sustainable Carolina's Environmental Justice Team from UofSC. We will pull unwanted weeds and remove excess sediment and debris in the Rain Garden and surrounding area. Hopefully the weather will be cooler for our volunteers who have bravely battled the heat this summer. No experience required! We will provide the tools and guidance - we just need some extra helping hands!
Gather with us at Hunter-Gatherer Brewery where we will celebrate our community and vote to elect new board members.
This will be a casual, family-friendly event. You don't have to be a GCWA member to attend. Food and drink will be available for purchase from Hunter-Gatherer.
